Elizabeth (Betty) Cafferkey nee Leahy, Portroyal, Partry, Co. Mayo (February 12th, 2023). We, the family of the late Elizabeth Cafferkey, would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support that we have received since our mums passing. A special thank you to our extended families, to our work colleagues, our friends and our neighbours for their words of comfort and unending support. Thanks to all who travelled near and far to sympathise with us at the funeral home, to those who attended the funeral mass and burial, to those who sent mass cards, floral tributes, messages and online condolences. We have taken such comfort in the outpouring of support that we have received.  Our thanks to the medical team on Ward A at Mayo University hospital who attended mum with such wonderful care in her final days. Frank McElwee, Bohernasup, Ballina – Passed away 9th of March 2023. We, the family of Frank, would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the beautiful people who came out in force so soon again after the loss of Frank’s wife, Lillian. The outpouring of love and support was unbelievable. We would like to thank all who visited our home, attended Frank’s funeral mass and burial, sent mass cards, left online condolences and to all who lined the funeral route, especially our very supportive neighbours. We would also like to thank all those who could not be present but joined us via webcam. We would like to express a special word of thanks to the wonderful members of Ballina Fire Brigade who respectfully walked alongside Frank, a former firefighter, on his final journey. Their guard of honour meant the world to us. We really appreciate all who provided us with homemade meals and provisions. Margaret (Rita) Jacob nee Carroll, Quigabar, Kilglass, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo – who sadly passed away on 27th January 2023. We, the family of the late Rita Jacob, would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support we have received since our dear mother passed away. This has been a great source of comfort to us as a family and we are very appreciative of the huge outpouring of support we have received. Thanks to all who called to the home of her son Michael & daughter in law Kathleen Jacob to sympathise with us, all who attended her funeral mass, sent Mass cards, floral tributes and online condolences. We would like to thank the local community in Quigabar who lined the funeral route, provided everything from food to traffic management to grave preparation, we are sincerely appreciative. Margaret Moran (née Sheridan), Rathredmond, Ballinrobe and formerly of Sheeaune, Westport. Who sadly passed away on 14th December 2022. We, the family of the late Margaret Moran, would like to offer our heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support that we have received since our Mum, Margaret passed away. We have found solace in the condolences that we have received through phone calls, Mass cards, sympathy cards and online sympathy messages. To Fr. We, the heartbroken family of Michael, mother Breege, sister Sandra, adored nephew Cillian, Michael’s partner Kirsty, Sandra’s partner Jonathan, aunts Anne and Nora, uncles Sean and Michael, cousins, and extended family would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us following the sad, untimely loss of our beloved Michael. Patrick (Paddy) Burke, Creevagh, Ballyheane, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and formerly of Derrygarrow, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo. We, the family of the late Paddy Burke, would like to express our sincere gratitude for all the support we have received since our beloved father’s passing. We want to thank all those who called to the house, rang, sent messages, letters, mass cards and left messages online. We were overwhelmed by the amount of people who turned out to pay their respects to Dad at the funeral home, mass and burial. William Walsh, Glenedagh, Ballycastle, Co. Mayo – died 16th January 2023. We the family of William Walsh wish to sincerely thank the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown to us in our sad loss. We offer a heartfelt thanks to all who attended the home. All who sent Mass cards and online condolences. A special word of thanks to the staff of St. Joseph’s Ward, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar for their five months of exceptional care of William.
