Months Mind Mass in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Knock on Saturday 5th August at 7.30pm.

Vivian will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, brother and sister, nieces and nephews and his many friends.  

We the family of Viv Coleman would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all who sympathised with us following the sad passing of Dad, including people who placed messages of condolences online, people who phoned, text, donated to COPD Ireland and people who kindly gave wreaths and send Mass Cards.  To all that travelled distances to attend Dad’s funeral and all that called to the Family home, Joanne’s home, funeral home, attended mass and burial thank you so much.  To the people that were unable to attend we are grateful to you for keeping Dad and our family in your thoughts and prayers.  A heartfelt thanks to Paul Noone first cousin and close friend of Dad who forwarded the most sincere voice note message to Dad which was played to him and to Peter Casby, one of Dad’s lifelong close friends who forwarded us beautiful photos, a personal note which was read to Dad and a candle that was lit beside Dad in the family home. Also, We would like to thank Dad’s other close friends Tommy Joe and Sean who visited Dad prior to his passing.  

We also offer a sincere thank you to the following: Nurse Peter, Dawn, Mary, and Colette (Respiratory Nurse) of Ward B,  Mayo University Hospital, who gave Dad wonderful care with a particular mention to Niamh and Hayley who assisted Dad in a dedicated and compassionate manner. Also, to both Dr.  Diarmuid Murray Senior and Junior whom were involved with Dad’s care for many years.  

 

To our extended family, neighbours and friends that supported us during this time including those who brought food etc you know who you are with a special mention to Patti who went above and beyond with her kindness in assisting us from the hospital to home.  To Bernie who delivered carefully hand picked flowers, Billy, Darcy, Kilkenny’s bar and the Carty family who provided us with essentials.  

To Fr.  Richard for the beautiful mass you delivered, the Eucharistic Ministers, Una Nolan and the Choir.  To nieces and nephews John, Michael, Elizabeth Coleman for their participation in the mass with the beautiful music they provided, the grandchildren who brought up the gifts and all involved with delivering the prayers of the faithful.  To John Kelly also a lifelong close friend of Dad for his fitting words.  To Sinead for your tastefully presented booklets and to spike for his traffic management after the mass.  

To Gary, Laura and Alan thank you for your caring, sensitive manner you all used throughout the duration of Dad’s funeral and also to the gravediggers who prepared Dad’s final resting place.

To Management and staff of Treanlaur Catering, Midfield, who catered for our family and friends with the height of professionalism.  

It is impossible to thank everybody but we do hope you will take this acknowledgement as an expression of our appreciation.  We will be forever grateful.
