On behalf of myself Pauline, our children Dylan, Grace, Jack and Cian and all the family I would like to thank everyone most sincerely for attending Terry’s Funeral Mass, watching online, for sending text messages and cards, Mass cards, leaving messages of condolence online and those who gave donations in Terry’s memory to Brain Tumour Ireland. To all who travelled long distances, thank you. I would like to thank my sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews for all their help throughout the days of the funeral, with a special word of thanks to Mary and Phil who were there when I needed them throughout Terry’s illness. A special thanks to our niece Jackie for her excellent work in keeping the IT connection going from Ireland to Australia. To Terry’s brother Eddie, in Australia, for writing a lovely heartfelt speech when he couldn’t be here in person, we know how hard that was when you were unable to travel due to Covid. We would also like to thank Terry’s good friends, especially Frankie Moore, who made regular trips from Dublin to see us and it always cheered Terry up no end. Also to Ed Fallon (Scobie) for being a great friend and always keeping in touch and organizing the guard of honour. To Balla GAA club and all the club members and others who lined the road into Balla and the streets, he would have been so proud to see you all. To all his friends and colleagues in Baxter, thank you, for calling to the house and leaving lovely messages online. I want to say a special thank you to my own work colleagues in Davitt House, for their kindness and support. To our great neighbours thank you for all the lovely food and to good friends who dropped in food and drinks it was so much appreciated and to our children’s school friends and teachers for their kindness and expressions of sympathy. To the Mullaney family thanks for all your help with everything Terry couldn’t say enough good things about you all, we couldn’t ask for better neighbours. To Fr. Denis Carney, thank you for coming into the hospital at short notice and for all your visits to the house. To the staff at Mayo University Hospital for caring for Terry, especially all the nurses, who are ran off their feet but still stopped for a chat and to those who kept his spirits up during his regular visits. To Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Palliative Care Staff, thank you. To all who did readings at the funeral service, you all did so well on such a tough day, thank you. To the beautiful singing and music by Sharon Cuffe and Tom Lyons, we loved it. To Dr. Jimmy Broderick, Balla, for all your help and regular visits to our house and for showing compassion and kindness when we needed it most. To the public health nurses, especially Lorraine, you went out of your way to help us when we needed it. To the staff at Balla Pharmacy, thank you, for your kind help. To Michael Kilcoyne Funeral Director for organising everything and being very professional and showing compassion and kindness to our family at such a difficult time, a big thank you.
