Orla O’Malley, Cordroon, Cross, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, who died on the 5th June 2017.

Months Mind Mass for Orla will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church in Cross on Friday 7th July at 7.30pm

Orla’s parents Michael and Dolores, her brother Shane and extended family wish to sincerely thank all those who sympathised and supported us on our tragic loss of Orla. We wish to express our gratitude to all who called personally to our home, attended the removal, funeral mass and burial. A big thank you to all who travelled any distance to express their sympathies, sent mass cards, letters of sympathy, wreaths and flowers.

Our immediate family, wonderful friends and neighbours for their strength, support and generosity. Your consideration, support and efforts are appreciated and will always be remembered.

The emergency services who attended the scene of the accident, the staff in the ICU unit at Mayo General Hospital and the Transplant Co-ordinator for treating Orla and her family with empathy and kindness.   

Fr. Paddy Gilligan for his support during this difficult time, for his prayers and eulogy at the funeral mass assisted by Fr.Kenny, Fr.Horan, Fr. Burns, Fr.Costello and Fr.Rabitte. A special thank you to her friend and classmate Nicola O’Haire for her beautiful singing and Kevin Byrne who accompanied her.

Burkes Undertakers, Clonbur for their guidance, support and professionalism. Neighbours and friends who assisted in traffic control and the grave diggers for preparing Orla’s final resting place so beautifully.

Special gratitude is also expressed to all who took part in the guard of honour, her neighbours, friends, Neale GAA team and teachers and pupils at St.Feichin’s N.S. Cross.

The management and staff at Lydon’s Lodge in Cong for the beautiful food provided after the burial.
