Loretta Kenny,

Garryduff Court, Castlebar.

Month’s Mind Mass in the Church at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar on Saturday, October 13th at 12 noon.

The family of the late Loretta Kenny of Garryduff Court and Riverdale Court, Castlebar, and formerly of Mountmellick, Co. Laois, wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following the sudden death of our beautiful mother. We lost a truly wonderful mother who can never be replaced. During the days and weeks following her passing, we have been blessed with the loving embrace of our family, friends and neighbours. We offer our heartfelt thanks to you for visiting our homes, for bringing food and offering emotional support, for attending the wake, service and burial. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. A special word of thanks to the staff at Mayo University Hospital A&E and Galway University Hospital Coronory Care Unit for their kindness and sensitivity; to all those who participated in the beautiful Mass, especially Fr. Conal Eustace, the readers, poets and musicians; and to Funeral Directors Michael and Philomena Kilcoyne who could not have been kinder or more accommodating to our family and for  their professional handling of arrangements; to Pat Jennings, Carmel and staff at the TF Royal Hotel for taking such good care of us following the burial. Also, a special thank you to Tómas Langan who sang and dedicated “Moonlight in Mayo” to Mam at a concert in the TF which she was planning to attend. This was one of her favourite songs and that dedication will forever remain very special in our hearts. She would have loved every minute of that wonderful concert. Our mother was such a special, kind and gracious person who touched so many people, particularly her many friends at the Sacred Heart Hospital Day Ward and the Social Services Centre, whom she enjoyed the company of for the past 16+ years. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses, physiotherapists and staff of the Sacred Heart (Day) Hospital who took such exceptional care of our mother over the years. Mam will forever have a special place in all our hearts, and she will continue to live on through our cherished memories. She lived life to the full, and we are so grateful that she passed away without pain or suffering, surrounded by her loved ones. We take great comfort in knowing that she is now truly at peace and reunited with her beloved; our father John. To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.
