Frank Griffin,

7 De La Salle, Hopkins Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and formerly of Kiltimagh.

The Griffin family would like to express our heartfelt thank you to everyone that has shown us comfort and support after the tragic drowning accident of our son and brother Frank.

Frank was a keen swimmer, enjoyed jogging, music and had a passion for Art. His love for football was always evident, he played for the GAA in his younger days and enjoyed watching the matches down through the years. We appreciate the kind letters of condolences received from the GAA. A special thank you to Kiltimagh GAA for remembering him in his younger years when he played for Kiltimagh.

We would like to thank Beaumont Hospital, University Hospital Galway, Castlebar General Hospital, Staunton’s Link Pharmacy and Dr. Michael Waldron Castlebar, for all the care and treatment they provided to Frank during the past eight years.

A special word of thanks to the Irish Coast Guard/Westport unit, Castlebar Hospital Morticians and An Garda Siochana who provided support to us in our time of need.

Sincere thanks to Kilcoyne Funeral Directors for helping us with all the arrangements and guidance.

Thank you to Fr. Shane Costello for his assistance and for celebrating Frank’s Funeral Mass. Also we thank Shannon Crematorium for their lovely service.

We would like to thank everyone who donated to the Irish Cancer Society and the Irish Coast Guard.

A special thank you to Edward Muldoon for providing the beautiful music and singing at Frank’s funeral mass.

We would like to express a sincere thank you to everyone who attended the funeral. We also appreciate everyone who sent a mass card and those who left condolences on Midwest Radio Death Notices.

We as a family will always be thankful to our friends, Frank’s loyal friends, our kind neighbours and all our family who surrounded us with love and care over these sad days.

We hope this acknowledgement expresses our upmost gratitude for all the kindness and support shown.

Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar on Saturday, November 18th at 7pm.
