We, the family of the late Brendon Gallagher, including his beloved wife of 57 years, Bernie, would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all those who offered their condolences in person, by phone, online messaging and letter at Brendon’s recent passing. Brendon’s untimely death at the age of 81 occurred after a short and unexpected illness and his family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the care provided by the healthcare professionals in Louisburgh. Surgery, especially Dr. Colm Staunton, Mr Tom Treacy, Brendons’s trusted Pharmacist at Treacy’s Pharmacy in Westport, and Mayo University Hospital. The guidance, sensitivity and professionalism of Castlebar and Newcastle-based Undertakers, Mr Michael Kilcoyne and MJ Sawey and Son’s and to Deacon Mark Leneghan for his very moving funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle. To all of Brendon’s extended family, friends, neighbours and colleagues in both Louisburgh, Newcastle and abroad: your kindness, words of advice and condolence alongside your continued support have provided Bernie and her children Gavin, Gareth and Ciara and their families immense comfort at this sad time.

Brendon’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church Louisburgh, Co. Mayo on Sunday August 6, at 11.30 am.
