Don’t cry because it’s over Smile because it happened. Cry not because she’s gone, Smile because she was here.

Nikita’s mum and dad, Kathleen and Noel, sisters Jennifer and Vicki, grandparents Michael and Helen Coyne, aunties, uncles and extended family would like to thank all of those who supported us during and since our heart breaking and unexpected loss of Nikita. Thank you to all those who phoned left messages on R.I.P and Midwest Radio, social media, sent beautiful Mass cards and such kind letters. We take great comfort reading each and everyone of them. To people who sent food, flowers and gifts, thank you. To our kind hearted friends and neighbours in Lakeview and Castlebar who arranged such a special guard of honour to greet us on Nikita’s journey home. The candle lit roads and houses were just so beautiful. A big thank you to all the people who formed guards of honours and to those who stood outside the church and listened to the service or watched the service online. Thank you to our employers and work colleagues for the compassion and support you have shown to our family. To all the doctors nurses and staff of Mayo University Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin, especially Dr. Rizvi, Dr Egan, Dr. Silke and the I.C.U. nurses in St. Vincent’s. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care and kindness shown to Nikita and ourselves. To Nikita’s Castlebar hospital friend Maureen, who always kept an eye on Nikita and kept her spirits up. Thank You xx. A special thank you to Garda Peter Flanagan and all at Castlebar Garda Station for all their help. Also to Lucan Garda Station for all their assistance in getting us to St Vincent’s when time was of the essence. You were all so kind and willing to help our family. To Father Shane who celebrated Nikita’s Mass, it was just perfect and thank you for all your help and continued support. To all Nikita’s cousins for the fabulous choir and music. What can we say? We loved it and we’re sure Nikita did as well. To Michael Kilcoyne Funeral Undertakers, you went above and beyond your duties getting Nikita home to us. And also for your compassionate and sensitive way in dealing with the funeral arrangements. We cannot thank you enough. Nikita has some very very special close friends whom she loved and always talked about. She also made numerous friends during her time at St Peters N.S. Snugboro, St Joseph’s Castlebar, Balla Secondary School, Westport CFE, Sligo IT and from working at Mayo Leisure Point. We know she will always be remembered and be in your thoughts. To our own family, we cannot thank you enough for all the help, support, comfort and love that you gave us in Dublin when we needed it most. And to all of you who met us in Strokestown to escort Nikita home to Castlebar, we know you will always be around to support us during these difficult times. With the times that we are living in it as affected us all in very different ways, but we have all had to learn to adapt to different situations. We look forward to the day when we can all come together without restrictions to celebrate Nikita’s Life.
