Mary Kelly nee Cunningham,

Rath, Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Cloonlough, Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon.

It’s hard to say goodbye

To someone that you love

But Mammy will continue to care for us

Even from up above

Because that’s what Mammys do

It is part of what they are

They never stop caring and loving you

Even from afar

And that’s what Mammy did

She was there for us all

No matter what the problem was

You could always make that call

Some might say sure that’s your duty

Some might say the ‘natures’ there

But in a Mother’s love

There is nothing yet to compare

So Daddy, God rest him

He was such a special man

The greatest Dad of all times

And then he picked our Mam

And it was so very hard

To say goodbye to him

We didn’t have much notice

And he was gone in a whim

It’s so hard to say goodbye

And know the line is gone

The love and the feeling

Is so very strong

Mammy you are with Daddy now

After many many years

We are so happy ye are together

But our eyes are full of tears

It’s so hard to say goodbye

And know we can’t see you every day

Our hearts are broken and will always be

You are gone so far away

We loved you Mum: Our Number one

Do us one favour please

Give a kiss to Dad from us and maybe a little squeeze

You were the best parents

And we say thank you very much

And we will never forget

How important that was to us.

Months Mind Mass will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballinlough on Sunday, September 18th at 11am.
