Frank McElwee,
Bohernasup, Ballina – Passed away 9th of March 2023.
We, the family of Frank, would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the beautiful people who came out in force so soon again after the loss of Frank’s wife, Lillian. The outpouring of love and support was unbelievable.
We would like to thank all who visited our home, attended Frank’s funeral mass and burial, sent mass cards, left online condolences and to all who lined the funeral route, especially our very supportive neighbours. We would also like to thank all those who could not be present but joined us via webcam.
We would like to express a special word of thanks to the wonderful members of Ballina Fire Brigade who respectfully walked alongside Frank, a former firefighter, on his final journey. Their guard of honour meant the world to us.
We really appreciate all who provided us with homemade meals and provisions.
We would like to thank all at McGowan’s Funeral Directors, who unfortunately had to provide their services to us so soon again but did so in a very caring and considerate manner. To the beautiful singer, Aoife Kilcullen and organist, John Cummins who personalised the music in a wonderful manner, we would like to give you special thanks.
Our extended and acquired families have been an endless support to us and we would have been utterly lost without them.
Many thanks to all the staff at The Merry Monk who looked after us so well after the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Frank’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 16th of April at 11am, in St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina.
